February 19, 1994 - March 3, 2019
Carrone “Roni” Kawehilani Matsue Hirai was born on February 19, 1994 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Carrone, beloved daughter and sister, walked peacefully into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at the age of 25. Carrone is survived by her parents Hiram and Christine Hirai; Sister Remy; Brother Jeremy(Charice); Nieces Chauncie and Chloe; Nephew Jeremy Jr.; Grandparents: Ronald (Momi) Sugai, Ellen Nagatori; Uncle Sean (Jamie) Sugai; Aunty Jacquelyn Gomes; Cousins Reyn and Randyn Sugai, Tory Gomes and Mikayla Jamile; Numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends from all walks of life. She is also survived by 3 furry nieces Piper, Maia, and Roxy and predeceased Grandfather, Francis Shigemi Hirai. Carrone attended Kamehameha Schools, Kaimuki High School, and in 2012, graduated from Kailua High School. She went on to attend the University of Nevada Las Vegas, pursuing a degree in Nursing. “Roni”, as many knew her, was blessed with amazing talent. From the age of three, she set out to prove just that. She excelled as a top notch swimmer with the Kamehameha Swim Club, bringing home many medals and trophies and even held several titles. She was an amazing hula and tahitian dancer with Iwalani School of Dance and performed on stage at many venues, including The Aloha Tower. She had unbelievable flexibility as she enjoyed her time as a gymnast as well. She enjoyed cooking, reading, going to the beach, and just hanging out with friends. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do and everything she did, she did well, whole-heartedly. Carrone will always be a shining star, she was free-spirited and unafraid to be who she was. She was beautiful, strong, caring, smart, and loving. She braved through life’s trials and tribulations, life’s highs and lows, with great courage and strength. Her beautiful smile, her distinct laugh, and her amazing sense of humor could always brighten the darkest of days. She had a huge, caring heart and accepted everyone into her life with no judgement. She always tried to help others and help people find their way. She loved with great understanding that we are who we are and that no one is perfect but that everyone deserved to be loved. Carrone left a memory with everyone she met and with everyone who knew her. She touched many lives during her short stay on this earth. She traveled far and wide and saw the world through her own eyes. Carrone has been called home to be with her Creator, her Father in Heaven. She is free, she is happy, living her eternal life with Jesus. She will be missed here on this temporary Earth, but will be remembered and loved always. She will forever be our guardian angel.....’til we meet again at The Pearly Gates. We invite you to join our family as we honor Carrone with a Celebration of Her Life on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Oahu Cemetery Chapel in Nuuanu. 2162 Nuuanu Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii 96817. Visitation from 10 am. Lunch to follow.
