Clifford Kenji Aoki
March 11, 1969 - December 17, 2018
Clifford K. Aoki, 49, of Aiea, passed away on December 17, 2018. He is survived by his brother Allen Aoki, partner Elena Luna-Remigio, nephew Bryce Aoki (Michelle), niece Lyndsey Aoki-Thompson and grand niece Korra Kalena Aoki-Marin. He graduated from Aiea High School in 1987. He was an avid commercial fisherman who learned his craft from his beloved father, Harry. He enjoyed the serene solitude and beauty of the ocean. The time he spent alone fishing gave him an opportunity to recharge and reconnect to his inner peace. Clifford was always generous in sharing his catch with family and friends. He was also generous with his love and compassion, always showing the people close to him how much he loved them. He had a rare ability to practice empathy, especially with the people he loved. His family and friends will miss him immensely. A Celebration of Life service and scattering of ashes will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Sand Island State Recreation Area beach shoreline, park at the Beach Parking right before the Ballfields. If attending, it is recommended to bring a chair and umbrella since there is no available structure to provide cover or seating
