Darlene Laurie Kamalii

May 12, 1964 - February 16, 2022

Darlene L. Kamalii, 57, of Waianae, Hawaii, passed away February 16TH, 2022, at the Queens Medical Center with her daughter Daina Simpson and family members by her bedside. She was born to Dolores (Kamalii) Wallace and the late Lawrence Kamalii on May 12, 1964, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Darlene grew up in Kaimuki and Waianae, Hawaii and attended Waianae High School. Darlene is survived by her daughter: Daina (Marcus) Simpson, of Kapolei, Hawaii and son Joshua Kamalii, of Waianae, Hawaii. Darlene is also survived by her 4 siblings Doreen (John) Thomas, Sari (Glen) Gueco, Desiree (Darryl – Deceased) Shoma, Rachel “Shelly” Tagupa, her granddaughter, 3 grandsons, 9 nieces and nephews, 19 grandnieces and grandnephews, 6 great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. Darlene will always be remembered for her beauty, her fun and loving spirit, kindness, generosity, her contagious laugh and the willingness to help others. She was a devoted aunt to the children of her family and poured her love into each of them immensely. She passed on many loving and good memories to her family, friends and those who knew her. Most of all to her daughter Daina, her grandchildren Daezha-Lynn, Liam-Christopher, Isaiah-James, and Joshua Jr. Darlene’s Celebration of life will be held along with her sister Selene on Saturday, March 5th, 2022, from 4pm to 7pm at Oahu Cemetery Chapel.
