Keola William Martin

August 28, 1977 - January 26, 2022

Keola William Martin, 44, of Kapolei, Hawaii passed away on January 26,2022. Keola was born on August 28, 1977 to Eliza and Wayne Martin in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was born and raised in Waipahu and was proud to be from the 94 block. After Keola graduated from Waipahu Highschool in 1995, he continued his education at Honolulu Community College where he earned his Associates degree. After graduating, he started his career at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard as a shipfitter apprentice with Shop 11 in 1999. He also started as a union steward that same year with The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 90 Union and later became a Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer. In 2001 he became the PHNSY & IMF Metal Trades Council Recording Secretary. Keola was beloved by all he worked with. In 2001, Keola met Wendielyn Alcantara. Keola and Wendie went on to have a son, Kala’i Raider Douglas Martin in 2015. He was a huge Raiders fan and season ticket holder, flying up to Oakland, then Las Vegas for home games. He was also an avid car enthusiast and member of the Outsiders Car Club. Keola was predeceased by his father, Wayne Douglas Martin. He is survived by his spouse Wendielyn Alcantara, son Kala’i Raider, mother Eliza, brother, Keli’i (Vicki), and sister Ku’ulei (Donald) Reilly. Services will be held at Oahu Mortuary on March 19, 2022. Public viewing will be from 9:00 to 11:00am. Services will follow at 11:15am. Burial will follow at Mililani Memorial Park at 1:30p.
