NELLIE KALEHUAMAKANOE STEWART JOHNSON passed over peacefully at her assisted-living home Hale Ola Kino on the morning of Sunday, August 8, 2021. Born in Honolulu on July 18, 1929, she was able to celebrate her 92nd birthday three weeks before she passed. A longtime educator and administrator with the Hawaii Department of Education, she is survived by four granddaughters, older sister Julia Stewart Williams and numerous nephews and nieces..Services are planned for the Oahu Mortuary Chapel, pending the lifting of current COVID-19 restrictions.
