In Loving Memory of the late Orlando Joseph Soares Sr. “Joe Boy” A Christian and Godly man Sunrise May 5, 1938 - Sunset January 16, 2022 As resident of Wai’anae he graciously lived until the age of 83. He had worked and retired from The Mākaha Valley Golf Course and Country Club. He was known as Uncle Joe throughout the Wai’anae community and often volunteered for the City of Joy food bank, 442 food bank, Wai’anae boat harbor ahi tournament, and directed traffic for floats and participants of the Wai’anae mall Christmas parade. He was an Avid Golfer, Bowler, and Fisherman. He is preceded in death by wife Christine Leimomi Soares, Father John Soares Sr., Mother Susan U’u Armstrong, and daughter Roselani Kelekolio. He is survived by children Anita-Louise Sugai of Alaska, Orlando Joseph Soares Jr. of Ewa Beach, Roberta (Steven) Pemberton of Tennessee, Christine (Timothy) McLaurin of Wai’anae, and Janet (Mark) Soares-Kong of Nānākuli. Also survived by 25 grandchildren, 58 Great-Grandchildren, 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren, as well as sisters Rosemary Awong and Edith Teixeira of Wai’anae. Due to Covid-19 funeral services will be held privately. Oahu mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements. Me ke aloha pumehana…We love you
