Robert Hiroshi Nakata, 64 passed away at Straub Hospital on Sunday June 25, 2017 was born August 14, 1952 in Honolulu and graduated from Iolani High School. He studied history at the University of Hawaii and received his degree from the Cleveland Marshall School of Law. He practiced law as an Attorney until his unexpected passing. He was a beloved son, father, and friend who enjoyed reading, watching sports, bowling in his spare time. He is survived by his mother Marian Takagi, sisters Marilynn Nakata, Gail Takagi, Joyce Pavlis, brothers Theodore Nakata, David Takagi, Verne Takagi, daughters Suzanne Nakata and Nicole Phan-Thanh, grandson Aiden Tran. A service will be held in his honor Saturday, July 8 at Olivet Baptist Church 1775 S. Beretania Street Honolulu, Hawaii 96826. Visitation 10 am, service 11 am, lunch at 12 pm. Aloha attire.
